(AND PLAY) AT POETS HOUSE JUNE 2

Mom Egg Review celebrates MER 16, themed MOTHERS WORK/MOTHERS PLAY, with a reading by contributors at Poets House, 11 River Terrace, NYC 10282 on Saturday June 2, from 3-5 p.m.

New York, New York:

Poets and writers from across the country will read short pieces of fiction, poetry, and prose from the latest issue of Mom Egg Review at Poets House on Saturday June 2 from 3-5 p.m. The reading celebrates the launch of Mom Egg Review Vol. 16 themed MOTHERS WORK/MOTHERS PLAY. The reading, part of Poets House Literary Partners series, is open to the public. Tickets are $16, and include a subscription to the publication. Light refreshments will be served.

Short stories and poems about the many kinds of work done by mothers will be featured: nurturing, creating art, office work, housework, political work, physical labor. Jobs that lift you up and jobs that suck your soul. Work for pay, work for love, work for duty. And also, how mothers play, with children, with partners, with friends, on their own.

Featured readers include Robyn Art, Nina Bannett, Patrice Boyer Claeys, Lorraine Currelley, Jessica de Koninck, LeConte Dill, Elizabeth Ehrlich, Sara Epstein, Tatiana Forero Puerta, Heather Haldeman, Matt Hohner, Jennifer Jean, Deborah Kahan Kolb, Judith Lichtendorf, Tsaurah Litzky, Libby Maxey, Carol McMahon, Rebecca Olander, eve packer, Kristin Prevallet, Judy Swann, JC Todd. MER Editor Marjorie Tesser will host the reading.
